Senior Pastor

Rev. Robert Lovett, Sr.

Pastor Bob graduated from Piedmont International University in 2004. God called him to Bonlee in December 2019. He has been a Senior Pastor for 19 years and was a Youth Pastor prior to that. Pastor Bob has a heart for serving others. He is passionate about spreading the Gospel and seeing others come to a Saving Knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Bob and his wife Harriet have been married for 35 years. They have two adult children and six grandchildren. They are enjoying living and serving in Bonlee. When Pastor Bob is not preaching, he enjoys fishing, hunting, and riding his Harley.

Youth Pastor

Chris Fortner

Chris graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2004 where he met his beautiful wife Tina, who is from Pittsboro, NC. From Pensacola, God brought the two of them to Atlanta, Georgia, where Chris is originally from. While in Georgia, he and his wife became Group Leaders at Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. God led them from there to a program where Chris became a Journeyman Electrician in Atlanta.

When Chris and Tina first got married, they planned to return to North Carolina. Finally, four kids and 15 years later, they moved to Goldston, NC in 2019. Chris has a heart for Bonlee Baptist’s youth and seeks to strengthen their relationship with Christ.

Chris and Tina have been married for 19 years and have four boys and more animals than you would believe. When Chris is not serving as Youth Pastor, he enjoys his full-time job, writing, leatherwork, archery, camping, and spending time with his family.

Candace Beal

Candace was born in Greensboro. She was active in music throughout school including violin and voice. She studied at UNCG-School of Music.

Candace was saved at 9 years old. She was active in church music and held many full-time positions as Minster of Music. She had 2 children, Jonathan and Caroline. She and Kim were married in 2002. She owns Award Presentations and Crafter’s HeART. She uses these businesses to help spread God’s joy.
